A day after Adams hits COVID-19 list, Packers WR Lazard there now, too
A day after all-pro wide receiver Davante Adams hit the reserve/COVID-19 list, another one of Aaron Rodgers’ targets could be out, as well.
Allen Lazard went on the list Tuesday. Neither receiver will play for the Green Bay Packers, unless they can get two negative PCR tests in 24 hours, before the Thursday night matchup against the undefeated Arizona Cardinals.
Green Bay will likely be out their top three receivers, unless Marquez Valdes-Scantling comes off injured reserve.
“There’s a little bit of a shock factor for sure,” Rodgers said about learning of Adams’ test. “But we dealt with it last year. We’re maybe slightly more healthy than some of the other teams as far as not having as many cases. But there have been cases here and we’ve dealt with them.”
Randall Cobb could be Rodgers’ go-to guy, while running back Aaron Jones is second on the team with 26 receptions.
The Packers are scheduled to leave Wednesday for Phoenix.
