What’s on the table today?: Super Bowl 55 is finally here! Tom Brady vs Patrick Mahomes in what will be an EPIC cross-generation showcase, and some REALLY big bets have been placed on this game which you’ll find below.

As I discussed this morning on the show (audio from today is above), and went over in great detail yesterday with Jon Denton, there are a lot of reasons to love the Chiefs to repeat. That said, I simply can’t pick against Tom Brady and that Tampa Bay defense that annihilated the Green Bay Packers at home.

The Packers were the number 1 scoring offense in the NFL, beat the number 1 scoring defense albeit with a reduced Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams, before getting simply boat-raced by Tampa in the NFC Championship Game. That did it for me, the Bucs are my Super Bowl pick at (+3).

I could sit here and go over all the ways Brady has gotten himself to the GOAT status that he surely deserves, but I don’t need to. Packers fans, myself included, saw what this Tampa Bay team can do to the MVP of the league and an offensive line that was playing lights-out football. The Bucs were ferocious, mean, and quick. The Packers stood no chance and it was clear from the jump Brady, while not playing his best game, is still more than capable of making plays when he REALLY needs to.

The Chiefs are the betting favorites in the game, and while the number moved from KC -3 ½ to KC -3, there has been a steady stream of sharp and public money that’s come in on Kansas City. In Vegas the Chiefs are getting over 57% of the money on the spread, and over 57% of the money on the total. The Bucs are getting 54.4% of the action on the moneyline for the obvious value, but those are mostly public bets.

Many have suggested to me this week that Kansas City is simply going to blow the Bucs out, and hey, that’s always a possibility. My money however is going to Tom and the history that he seems to make damn near every chance he gets.

Below take a look at the BIGGEST bets made on Super Bowl 55 (thanks to the Las Vegas Review Journal) and think about what YOU might do if you had that kind of cash to bet on a single game!
