Packers looking at trade for Texans WR Fuller
It looks as though the Green Bay Packers are trying to get quarterback Aaron Rodgers some more help.
Green Bay is one of the teams looking to trade for for Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller, according to The Athletic’s Aaron Reiss.
Despite an offseason trade of Deandre Hopkins for David Johnson and, now, a 1-6 record, the team “isn’t interested in a fire sale.”
With Hopkins gone, Fuller is on pace for a career season after catching 31 passes for 490 yards and five touchdowns. The 26-year-old is part of a crowded wide receiver corps that includes Randall Cobb, Brandin Cooks, Kenny Stills and Keke Coutee.
Fuller had three receptions for 35 yard and a touchdown against Green Bay last weekend.
Fuller has never played 16 games in a season. He did get to 14 last season. Before that, however, it was never more than 11. He’s averaged just under 10 games a season over his five-year career.
The Packers are looking to complement to wideout Davante Adams, especially after Allen Lazard’s injury and Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s struggles.
