Central’s Johnny Davis named third team all-state

Central High School’s Johnny Davis has been named to third team all-state by the Associated Press.

The 6-foot-5 sophomore led the Red Raiders (24-3) to the state semifinals, averaging 22.9 points, 7.3 rebounds.

Kaukauna senior Jordan McCabe was named the player of the year. The Virginia recruit averaged 26.7 points and 7.8 assists this season.

Named honorable mention from the area were Logan’s CJ Siegel, Onalaska’s Noah Skifton, Bangor’s Luke Reader, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau’s Chris Thompson and Black River Falls’ Ethan Anderson.
