Coming up each and every weekday, I’m going to attempt to explain my reasoning on WHY I’ve made the pick(s) I’ve made, what the play (or bet) represents, and how that would be used in some real life (for entertainment purposes only) situations.
Tonight on WKTY we have Monday Night Football featuring the 7-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the 6-3 Los Angeles Rams. At the time of this writing (15 minutes before kickoff), the TOTAL number on this game (or total amount of points are that both teams will reach or not) as set by sports books and odds makers, was 47.
That means that the Bucs and Rams would have to combine for MORE than 47 points to reach an Over, and LESS than 47 points to reach the Under.
In my case I made the Over bet this morning of 48.5 points. What that tells me is I’m in for trouble. If the odds makers have, within a span of 10 hours dropped the total 1.5 points, they don’t think there will be much scoring.
If that does happen, and the total falls below 47, I’ve lost. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, but if I do indeed lose, my overall record since keeping track during the “sports restart” would be 100-78.
Follow along with me every day here on WKTY Sports.com as I continue to bring you into the WHY I’ve made the pick(s) I’ve made, and hopefully shed some insight into HOW to be a better BETTOR!
