Taking in a Brewers game, NJ Gov. Christie confronts heckling fan
Christie, whose son works for Brewers, was getting some nachos.
MILWAUKEE — At least he didn’t spill his nachos.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was caught on video confronting a Chicago Cubs fan at Miller Park on Sunday — a game in which the Milwaukee Brewers lost 4-2.
The video captures just the end of the confrontation — Christie leaning over and nearly in the man’s face, while, perhaps, getting some nacho cheese on his shirt.

WISN12 reporter Ben Hutchinson recorded the end of the confrontation with the fan, Brad Joseph. The two are related and Hutchinson had Joseph fill in the blanks:
“When he initially was going up the stairs I yelled his name. He was quite a bit passed me, and 30 feet away I yelled his name and told him that he sucked. … I called him a hypocrite because I thought it needed to be said. He turned around back towards me and got in my face for what seemed like a long time, but was probably only about 30 seconds or a minute. (He) was yelling at me. First he told me, ‘Why don’t you have another beer?’ which I thought was a decent come back, and I thought that was kind of funny. Then he started calling me a tough guy.”
Christie’s son, Andrew, works for the Brewers. The governor took in two games over the weekend, including Friday’s series-opener.
The heckling is another incident that further’s the argument that Christie isn’t cut out for, if not just sports, perhaps the public eye completely. The governor was a candidate to take over for longtime WFAN sports talk radio host Mike Francesa in New York.
Christie apparently has a hard time dealing with some backlash, whether it’s on the radio, where he told a caller off saying he was a “bum” and a “communist.”
Christie isn’t very popular in New Jersey and it only got worse when he was forced to shut down the government. During that time, New Jersey had to close a beach, in which Christie was spotted using. But that wasn’t the worst part. He then denied that he was ever out there.

And, there’s, of course, “Bridgegate.”
But, back to baseball, his getting heckled by a fan isn’t the first incident at an MLB game. Here’s Christie loudly booed July 18 at Citi Field after grabbing a foul ball at a St. Louis Cardinals-New York Mets game.
