Arguably the greatest running back in Packers history is headed to Onalaska this spring as part of a huge caravan of current and former Packers.

It’s hard to decide if Ahman Green or current Pro Bowler Josh Jacobs is the bigger name headed to town, as part of the Packers Tailgate Tour on April 10.

Along with Jacobs and Green, will be Packers tight end Tucker Kraft, former tight end Jermichael Finley, current defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness and Super Bowl champion-winning offensive lineman John Michels.

The Packers Tailgate Tour is going around Wisconsin April 8-12. The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse will host the tour at Stoney Creek Hotel in Onalaska.

PACKERS TAILGATE TOUR
WHEN: 5-8 p.m., April 10
WHERE: Stoney Creek Hotel, Onalaska (map)
TICKETS: Purchase at Around River City

The Packers noted that other surprise visits will happen along the tour, so those players could end up at other places in the area between stops.

Admission for the Hunger Task Force event is capped at 325 people and tickets are $75. The event runs 6-8 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Jacobs had 1,429 yards and 15 touchdowns rushing, plus another 342 yards and a score receiving in his first season with the Packers. He was sixth in the NFL in rushing yards and fourth in rushing touchdowns.

Green is a Packers Hall of Famer, who set the franchise’s career-rushing record with 8,322 yards and earned four Pro Bowl selections. His 1,883-yard season in 2003 remains a Packers record.

Finley played for Green Bay from 2008 to 2013. His best season was the year after the Aaron Rodgers-led team won the Super Bowl in 2010-11, where he had 93 receptions for 767 yards and eight touchdowns.

Kraft had 50 catches for 707 yards with seven touchdowns — only three tight ends had more TDs this season.

Van Ness, in his second season, had 33 tackles and three sacks for Green Bay.

Michels, a first-round pick, played tackle for the Packers from 1996 to 1999. He started as a rookie, protecting Brett Favre in helping the Packers win Super Bowl XXXI 35-21 over New England.
