No. 11 UW-La Crosse women’s soccer looking for 5th WIAC championship, bid to NCAA tourney Saturday

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women’s soccer team is headed to the WIAC tournament championship, after a 5-0 semifinal win over UW-Stevens Point on Thursday at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.

The No. 11 Eagles (16-1-1) will host UW-Platteville in the WIAC championship at 1 p.m. Saturday with an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs on the line.

UWL, making its 29th WIAC championship appearance, will seek its fifth tournament title (1996, 2017, 2018, 2022).
