After a 24-17 win last weekend against UW-River Falls, the seventh-ranked Eagles (8-1, 5-1) are tied with 10th-ranked UW-Whitewater (7-2, 5-1) for the conference lead, but the Warhawks’ path to victory Saturday is much easier.

UW-L wraps up its regular season at home against UW-Platteville (8-2, 5-2), while Whitewater hosts UW-Stevens Point (1-8, 0-6) in the season finale.

UW-Whitewater beat UW-L in La Crosse back on Oct. 1, 34-31.

But, there is no tiebreaker. A win by both teams, means they will share the WIAC title. The Eagles haven’t won conference since it took back-to-back-to-back titles from 2002-2004.

UW-Whitewater has 38 conference titles in school history, while the Eagles have 31.
