Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is out Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs after testing positive for COVID-19, the NFL Network reported.
Rodgers is unvaccinated, which will keep him out for at least 10 days, reported Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The 37-year-old gave the impression in August that he was vaccinated.
“I’ve been immunized,” Rodgers said in the preseason. “There’s guys on the team that haven’t been vaccinated. I think it’s a personal decision, I’m not gonna judge those guys.”
Jordan Love will replace Rodgers, making his first-career start.
Love is the only available QB on the roster because practice squad quarterback Kurt Benkert also tested positive earlier this week.
