What’s on the table today?: Jon Denton Special + Dave’s prediction on NBA Finals Game 2: Bucks @ Suns
Today the Jon Denton Special has us set up for not one, not two, but THREE big plays on tonight’s Bucks (+5.5) at Suns (-5.5) game with a total of 219 ½.
In Jon’s 1st play he’s taking a player prop bet (Giannis OVER 26.5 points / -110 / BetMGM). Yes, Giannis just came back from a knee injury in Game 1 to score 20, but in the regular season the Greek Freak averaged over 40 versus the Suns, and with tonight’s Game 2 a MUST win, this should be an easy mark for Giannis to reach.
For Jon’s 2nd play he’s taking another stab at a player prop bet with (PJ Tucker OVER 4.5 points / -140 / BetMGM). This has got to happen. Not only for Jon to come in on the 2nd leg of his plays, but for the Bucks to have a chance to win. If PJ Tucker doesn’t go over 4.5 points tonight, the Bucks are cooked.
In the final of THREE “JD Specials”, Jon took the OVER 219 ½ point total for Game 2. In Game 1, a 118-105 Suns win, the total was likewise set at 219 by tip, and went well over. During the regular season the Bucks and Suns played twice, both games going OVER 240. This should be a slam dunk!
For my personal play tonight I’m focusing once again on the first quarter. The total for the first quarter is set at 54, and while the Bucks and Suns did show a little bit of tightness in Game 1, the total points in that quarter were 56, over the set number for the quarter. Considering that Giannis is back, rust will have subsided a bit, and Jrue Holiday looking to bounce back, I see this first quarter going OVER the total of 54.
Needless to say a lot is riding on tonight’s game for the Bucks and the state of Wisconsin sports fans. What you’re seeing here is this: confidence that the Bucks bounce back and in a big way. Milwaukee surely hasn’t been great in Game 1’s, but tonight look for the Bucks to get back in this series with a dedicated, defensive effort, and more efficient offense.
