La Crosse’s Davis looks to get out of funk Wed. against Northwestern
La Crosse native Jonathan Davis and the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team are back in action Wednesday at the Kohl Center.
At 7 p.m., he 10th-ranked Badgers (11-3) host Northwestern (6-6), looking for their second consecutive victory.
Davis, a freshman, has struggled the past three games.
He had four fouls in 11 minutes the last game out, scoring just two points in a win at Rutgers.
In the 77-54 loss at Michigan, the 6-foot-5 guard went scoreless for the first time in his young career, going 0-for-6 in 26 minutes.
And, the game before that, a double-overtime win against Indiana, Davis played a career-high 41 minutes, but shot just 2-for-11 from the field.
Davis is averaging 6.4 points on just 41.6% shooting. He is second on the team in rebounds (4.5) and fourth in minutes (23.6).
