It was his first-ever scoreless game, but La Crosse native Jonathan Davis has always found a way to contribute over his young collegiate career.

The shots haven’t fallen of late for the freshman guard, but not many shots fell last time out for the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team, which was blown out by 23 points Tuesday at No. 7 Michigan.

Davis went 0-for-6 from the field. The game fore that, he was just 2-for-11. And while the 6-foot-5 guard is averaging just 6.8 points on 41.4% shooting, Davis is second on the team in rebounds a game (4.7) and fourth in minutes (24.6).

Davis and the No. 9 Badgers (10-2) look to take out that Michigan loss at Rutgers (7-4) on Friday night. Tipoff is at 8 p.m.
