MADISON, Wis. — It took all of 22 seconds for La Crosse native Jonathan Davis to score his first collegiate bucket.

In the Wisconsin freshman’s second game, Davis scored nine points in a team-high 25 minutes off the bench, as the seventh-ranked Badgers beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 92-58 at the Kohl Center on Friday.

Wisconsin started with this 25-0 run, shooting 66% from the field, and getting points from six players, including Davis.

Davis, a Central High School graduate, finished 3-for-10 from the field, 1-for-2 from deep and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line. He added eight rebounds, two assists and a block. Davis scored eight points in his first-career game.

Micah Potter led Wisconsin (2-0) with 19 points, while D’Mitrik added 15 — both were 6 of 9 from the field.

Jonathan Davis’ twin brother, Jordan Davis, played for 3 minutes but didn’t record a stat.

The Badgers host UW-Green Bay at 4 p.m. Tuesday, before playing at Marquette on Friday.
