Brewers follow Bucks in general strike; Braun, Yelich, others speak of change amid Kenosha Police shooting
The Milwaukee Bucks started it — a general strike in protest of Kenosha police shooting 26-year-old Jacob Blake in the back seven times.
The NBA’s best team chose not to take the floor for its playoff game yesterday afternoon.
The rest of the NBA followed, as did the Milwaukee Brewers.
While the Bucks read a statement together as a team, Brewers players Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun and Brent Suter, along with manager Craig Counsell addressed the media.
The Brewers will makeup Wednesday’s game Thursday, playing a doubleheader, beginning at 4:10 p.m. The games will be seven innings long.

"There comes a time where you have to live it, you have to step up. You can't just wear these shirts and think that's all well and good and then when it comes time to act on it, or make stand or make a statement… you can't just not do it." – @ChristianYelich pic.twitter.com/ItMZyj3Muf
