The biggest basketball games of the season happen over the next two days for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Wisconsin Badgers.

First, tonight, on WKTY, the Bucks travel to LeBron James and the LA Lakers in a showdown of the teams with the best records in the league.

When they met back on Dec. 19, the Bucks got 34 points, 11 rebounds and 7 seven assists from Giannis Antetokounmpo on the way to a 111-104 win. James had a triple double and Anthony Davis led all scorers with 36.

Coverage for Bucks Lakers begins at 9 p.m. on 96.7 FM / 580 AM — right after the high school boys basketball playoff matchup between top-ranked Onalaska hosting Holmen, which you can watch on this site or the WKTY app.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, the Badgers play at Indiana for at least a share of the Big Ten Conference.

The two other teams that need a win to share the title — Michigan State and Maryland — both play Sunday. Illinois had a shot to be in that conversation but lost last night to Ohio State.

The No. 24 Badgers are 20-10 while Indiana is 19-11. When they met on Dec. 7 at the Kohl Center, La Crosse native Kobe King scored a career-high 24 en route to an 84-64 Badgers win.

Of course, King has since left the team and the Badgers have only lost once in nine tries — including winning seven in a row — since he announced that decision.

The Hoosiers are 4-3 in their last seven games. Before that, they had lost four in a row.
