Coming off a career-high 24 points over the weekend, La Crosse native Kobe King and the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team hope to improve to 2-0 in the Big Ten.

King was 10-for-15 from the field in the 20-point win over Indiana last Saturday. That bumped his shooting percentage up to 46. The redshirt sophomore is averaging 12.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

Wisconsin (5-4, 1-0) will look to extend Rutgers (6-3, 0-1) Big Ten losing streak to five games at 6 p.m. Wednesday from the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

Ron Harper Jr. has averaged 12.8 points and 6.3 rebounds while Geo Baker has put up 12 points and 4.3 assists for Rutgers.

For the Badgers, Nate Reuvers leads the team at 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks while Aleem Ford averages 10.4 points and five rebounds.

Wisconsin, this season, are shooting 30.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Rutgers has won its last six home games, scoring an average of 76.2 points while giving up 56.5.
