Heading into Game 2, Antetokounmpo says no big changes, after 22-point blowout to Celtics
If it’s up to Giannis Antetokounmpo, nothing changes heading into Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals with the Boston Celtics.
Despite a 22-point blowout at home, the 24-year-old MVP favorite says the Milwaukee Bucks aren’t making any big changes — yet.
“Definitely not,” Antetokounmpo told ESPN. “I don’t think we should change at all. Why should there be a change after a game that we lost? We should not be the team that made the adjustment.
According to the players, however, it was more about effort, than execution.
Antetokounmpo, who was 7 of 22 from the field, continued, “We are going to come out and play our hardest and see how Game 2 goes. If it doesn’t go well for us, then you can think about adjusting. But right now, we are not adjusting nothing.”
It’s hard to point a finger at any one thing the Bucks didn’t do well in the opener. The offense was stagnant but the defense may have been worse.
Coverage for Game 2 begins at 6:30 p.m. tonight on WKTY 96.7 FM / 580 AM.
