He just retired but one phone call and Jordy Nelson could be back with the Green Bay Packers.

Nelson, on the Dan Patrick show — 9-11 a.m. weekdays on WKTY 96.7 FM / 580 AM or on the WKTY app — and said all he needs is a little help from his friend.

Patrick asked, “What if Aaron Rodgers called you in late July?”

Nelson laughed, signed and then said, “That would be an interesting phone call. … If he truly called, and I’m not going to say begging me to come back, but asking me to come back … it probably would be hard to say no.

“If that happened it would be a very interesting question but, my guess is that it won’t.”

The 11-year-veteran, who will be 34 on May 31, said he’s talked with Mark Murphy and they’re working out plans to sign a one-day deal so he can retire as a Packer.

The Rodgers-Nelson duo was one of the best in NFL history.

Here are Rodgers’ numbers when throwing to Nelson over their 10 years: 470 of 705 (66.7 percent) for 6,919 yards (9.8 yards per attempt), 65 touchdowns and nine interceptions and a passer rating of 123.9.

During that span, both missed significant time — Nelson missed all of 2015 after tearing his ACL and Rodgers has missed 16 games with two different collarbone fractures.

The duo’s 65 touchdowns is the most in Packers history. Brett Farve and Antonio Freeman finished with 57.

The NFL record for touchdowns by a pair is held by Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison, who hooked up 112 times.
