Michael Vick: Kaepernick needs a haircut for job search
Vick went to federal prison for 18 months for running a dogfighting enterprise.
LOS ANGELES — The quarterback who went to jail for 18 months for running a dogfighting enterprise seems to feel the need to give Colin Kaepernick advice.
While Kaepernick is still a free agent and there are rumors he’s being blackballed by NFL owners, the formerly cornrowed Vick thinks his counterpart should get a haircut.
My Brother,
I can’t thank you enough 4 coming to Chicago to help continue to empower & build up our communities! @e_reid35 @yourrightscamp pic.twitter.com/wyXsE8KyvV— Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) May 9, 2017
Vick said the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback needs to lose his Afro for a “clean-cut” haircut to get back in the NFL. Those comments were made Monday on the show Speak for Yourself on Fox Sports 1.
He said he was speaking from experience, because going to jail for 18 months for dogfighting is comparable to fighting for causes to help black people, like combating police brutality.

Kaepernick left the 49ers in March and is still looking to sign with another team.
Apparently, kneeling during the national anthem last season to protest police shooting black people, and making that a national conversation, is a bad thing among NFL owners.
Last season, with one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL — not to mention a terrible receiving corps (corpse) — Kaepernick completed 59.2 percent of his passes for 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
He was also the No. 1 rushing QB in the NFL with 468 yards on 69 carries – a 6.8-yard average.
