The UWL Men’s basketball team is heading to the playoffs.
Just down the street actually.
The Eagles got an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Championship on Monday.
They’re also hosting a four-team regional on Friday and Saturday at the La Crosse Center.
First up for UWL is high-scoring Greenville University from Illinois on Friday evening with a 6:40 p.m. tip off.
It’s the first time these two teams have met on the court.

UWL comes in averaging 77.9 points per game and giving up 69.4. under second year head coach JT Gritzmacher.
Greenville made the tournament with a 115-104 win over Webster University (Minn.) in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship game.
The Panthers have won 14 straight.
Before UWL and Greenville meet, Carthage College, Wis. plays St. Norbert College, Wis. Their game starts at 4:20 p.m.
The winners of each game play Saturday night at 6:40 p.m.
The 22-5 Eagles head into the NCAA DIII tournament for the fourth time. Two of their three previous appearances, in 2006 and 2019, in the tournament ended in the first round. In 2022, they got by Heidelberg University of Ohio and the second round but lost to Illinois Wesleyan University.
