
La Crosse’s Lauren Jarrett, teammate Sam Blaskowski headed to USATF championships for UW-L
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse junior Lauren Jarrett of La Crosse (Logan) and senior Sam Blaskowski of Oshkosh (West) are set to compete in the 60-meter dash at the 2025 USA Track & Field (USATF) Indoor Championships on Sunday.

Competition is scheduled for the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York and will air on NBC and Peackcock, from noon-2 p.m.
NBC and Peacock will broadcast from 12 to 2 p.m. (Central) on Sunday, February 23.
Jarrett will run in the semifinals at 11:56 a.m. (Central) with the finals set for 1:45 p.m. (Central). Blaskowski runs in the semifinals at 12:19 p.m. (Central) with the finals scheduled for 1:54 p.m. (Central).
This is Jarrett’s first appearance in the USTAF Indoor Championships. She qualified with an NCAA Division III record time of 7.34 seconds at the UW-La Crosse Mark Guthrie Invitational on Feb. 8 in Hetzel Fieldhouse.
Jarrett has six of the Top 9 times in the 60 in NCAA Division III history, including the Top 3.
Last season, Jarrett won the 60m at the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships while placing sixth in the 200-meter dash to earn All-America honors. She also finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in 2023.
As for Blaskowski, this is his third career appearance in the USATF Indoor Championships. He took fifth in the 60m (6.67) final in 2023 and placed 10th (6.65) in the preliminaries in 2024.
He holds eight of the 10 fastest times in the 60m in NCAA Division III history, including a record of 6.62 set this year at the UW-La Crosse Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational.
Blaskowski was the 2024 USTFCCCA Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, after winning the 60 and 200 at the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships. He was also named the NCAA Division III Most Outstanding Performer.
Blaskowski also captured the 60m and finished second in the 200 at the 2023 national championships.
