La Crosse’s Kotlowski, top-ranked Wisconsin, easily sweeps No. 3 Minnesota
La Crosse’s Katie Kotlowski and the top-ranked University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team had zero trouble with the No. 3 team in the nation.
After outscoring Minnesota by six goals on Saturday, the Badgers scored the first three goals Sunday, and beat the Gophers 6-1.
A goal this season by Kotwloski, who plays defense for Wisconsin (29-1-2), is still elusive. She did get three shots on goal Sunday.
Wisconsin clinched its 10th conference title on Saturday. The Badgers have just one more regular-season series this upcoming weekend before the WCHA tournament.
UW plays unranked Bemidji State on the road Friday and Saturday.
