Another amazing end of the season for UW-La Crosse track & field.

The UW-L men’s team won the NCAA Division III outdoor championships, after coming in second last season. The men also won the indoor national title earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the UW-L women’s team finished runners-up after winning the outdoor championship last season. The women have finished runners-up six times in school history and won it all four times.

Combined, the Eagles have won 76 national championships in school history.

Some of the men’s highlights included Sam Blaskowski winning back-to-back titles in both the 100 and 200 dashes, along with taking the 400 relay.

Teammate Cael Schoemann also won, taking the 800 with a UW-L record 1:48.65 time.

William Cady finished in the scoring, getting All-American honors with his seventh-place finish in the triple jump (48-6).

On the women’s side, Logan graduate Lauren Jarrett also brought home three titles.

Jarrett became the first sprinter from UW-L and 17th in DIII history to sweep both the 100 and 200 dashes. She broke her own school record winning the 200 in 23.81 seconds.

She also anchored the winning 400 relay team, that included Makenna Zak, Anika Reiland and Taylor Molling.

Another huge placing in helping UW-L finish runners-up was Maya Evan taking second in the long jump Thursday, hitting 19 feet, 4¼ inches.

Also scoring for the Eagles was Izzy Carroll, finishing fifth in the hammer throw (187-0) and Maddie Hannan taking eighth in the 800 (2:12.43).
