A big part of the UW-La Crosse men’s and women’s track and field teams taking first and second, respectively, in the outdoor National Championships, was its success in the 400 relay.

Both the men and women won titles in the event, which has now only happened four times in Division III history.

Makenna Zak, Anika Reiland, Taylor Molling and Lauren Jarrett made up the women’s team that won in 46.06 seconds.

On the men’s side, Spencer Reichart, Sam Blaskowski, Collin Conzemius and Luke Schroeder took the relay in 39.82 seconds.
