The Warhawks (4-0, 1-0) have beaten UW-L 16 consecutive times — dating back to Oct. 15, 2005. Of those 16 games, however, last season’s 34-31 win was the closest.

To open conference, UW-L (3-1, 1-0) was up 25 points in the fourth quarter last weekend against UW-Stout, before winning 45-40.

Quarterback Keyser Helterbrand accounted for six touchdowns — four in the air. He was 11-for-21 for 297 yards in the air and rushed 15 times for 128 yards in the win.

UW-Whitewater (4-0, 1-0) comes in having beaten the other Top 25 UW team in the country, taking down No. 20 UW-Oshkosh 37-21.
