The seventh-ranked Viterbo University volleyball team kicked off its season with four 3-0 wins at the Saint Francis University (Ind.) Onset Invitational.
The V-Hawks (4-0) beat Taylor and Oakland City on Friday, before sweeping No. 21 Marian and Grace on Saturday.
Viterbo is back in action at 5 p.m. Thursday at Grand View, before a weekend tournament in Nebraska. The V-Hawks’ home-opener happens during the Viterbo Invitational tourney on Sept. 8-9.

Meanwhile, UW-La Crosse’s season begins Sept. 1-2 in Winona at the Saint Mary’s Sugarloaf Classic. The Eagles’ first home match comes during the UW-L Invitational Sept. 15-16.
The second-ranked Wisconsin Badgers season opens this weekend, at the Big 10/Big 12 Challenge in Minneapolis. At 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Pavillion, the Badgers face 15th-ranked Baylor. They take on TCU at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
No. 7 Minnesota plays TCU at 7 p.m. Friday, then Baylor at 7 p.m. Saturday.
