Four area high school football teams remain in the Top 10 of the latest AP poll.

Cashton, defending state champion Aquinas, Bangor and Pepin/Alma are all ranked in the Small Division.

Cashton (6-0) and Bangor (5-1) played each other last week, with the Eagles getting the 14-10 win. So, Cashton remained ranked third, but Bangor dropped from fourth to No. 7.

That allowed the Blugolds (5-1) to move up a spot to No. 4, after beating Westby 28-20 last week. The Norsemen (5-1) are the only other area team that’s nearly cracked the Top 10, where they sit just outside in the Medium Division.

The Blugolds only loss came Week 1, 16-12 to Prairie du Chien (4-2).

Meanwhile, Pepin/Alma (6-0) remains unbeaten and stayed ranked eighth.

Here is The Associated Press high school football poll. The poll includes first-place votes in parentheses, season record, total points and last week’s ranking, as voted upon by a statewide panel of sports writers. Teams are arranged in three divisions of equal size based on current enrollments:
