The Milwaukee Bucks are back in action Friday, up against a confusing Houston Rockets team that’s rattled off seven consecutive wins, but has a record of just 8-16.

Before those seven wins, the Rockets had lost 15 in a row.

FRIDAY: Bucks at Rockets at 7 p.m. — pregame on WKTY 96.7 FM / 580 AM beginning at 6:30 p.m.

They’re led by Christian Wood, who had a short stint with the Bucks a few years ago, before breaking out and making everyone wish maybe Milwaukee should have kept him.

Wood was with the Bucks for just a few games back in 2018-19, playing just over 4 minutes and averaging 2.8 points. He was let go and then signed by New Orleans where he averaged 16.9 points over just 23.6 minutes a game.

Three seasons later, he’s thriving in Houston, averaging a double-double at 16.3 points, 11.3 rebounds.

He’ll likely match up some with Giannis Antetokounmpo, who’s coming off one of his worst performances of the season — a 15-point effort in a loss to Miami, which also hit a franchise-record 22 3-pointers in beating the Bucks.

Antetokounmpo, who just turned 27, is averaging 27.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.7 combined blocks/steals.

No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 draft, Jalen Green, won’t play for the Rockets.
