What’s on the table today?: Which elite NBA teams (in action tonight) are performing the best ATS (against the spread)?

Today we’re taking a look at a few of the elite NBA teams (Jazz, Suns, Nets & Nuggets) who are in action tonight, and how they’ve been doing against the number in recent games. The reasoning behind this little exercise? To get a better look at these top teams and see if we can notice any betting trends that may help us in the weeks ahead, or even on a play tonight.

Tonight the Suns will host the Jazz (-1 ½) in a Western Conference showdown, the Nets (-9) (with the return of Kevin Durant) will host the Pelicans, and the Nuggets (-7) will be playing at home in Denver versus the Spurs.

Utah Jazz (38-12 1st in the Western Conference)

  • Jazz are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Jazz are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games.
  • Jazz are 27-13 ATS in their last 40 games as a favorite.

Phoenix Suns (35-14 2nd in the Western Conference)

  • Suns are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
  • Suns are 12-1 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
  • Suns are 26-5 ATS in their last 31 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
  • Suns are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss.
  • Suns are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog.

Brooklyn Nets (35-16 tied for 1st in the Eastern Conference)

  • Nets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.
  • Nets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Nets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.
  • Nets are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest.
  • Nets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Denver Nuggets (32-18 4th in the Western Conference)

  • Nuggets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Nuggets are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Nuggets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
  • Nuggets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Nuggets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
