Shot’s not there, but La Crosse’s Davis finds way to contribute
The shot isn’t going in, but La Crosse’s Jonathan Davis continues to do all the little things for the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team.
The freshman guard had four points on 2-of-7 shooting — 0-for-2 from deep — Wednesday in the 14th-ranked Badgers’ 61-55 win over Maryland.
But, while the shot hasn’t fallen, Davis did contribute with three rebounds, a steal and two second-half blocks.
"I think @JonathanCDavis1 has the ability to be the best player in the Big Ten at some point. I think he has that much upside." 🤯

For the season, Davis is shooting just 40.2% from the field and 23.5% from beyond the arc.
He is, however, second on the team at 4.4 rebounds a game and has a block or a steal in every game but one this season — averaging a combined 1.5 a game.
The 6-foot-5 guard is also fourth on the team at 24.2 minutes but has the second-least turnovers (.75 a game) among Badgers playing over 20 minutes a game.
