Bucks’ Bledsoe, Pacers’ Brogdon have COVID-19
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Eric Bledsoe tested positive for COVID-19.
The guard hasn’t joined the Milwaukee Bucks for the NBA restart.
“I am asymptomatic and feeling fine,” Bledsoe said in a statement. “Once I meet the NBA protocols, I look forward to joining my teammates in Orlando.”
Once he’s gets to Orlando, Bledsoe will have to isolate for two days before he can enter the “bubble.”
While news Bledsoe has the virus, former teammate, and current Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon has just recovered from COVID-19.
Brogdon just took part in his first team practice, and wore a mask, saying, “Just to be considerate of the guys. Just wearing it to be cautious.”
Bledsoe, who’s averaged 15.4 points, 5.4 assists and 4.6 rebounds this season, took to Instagram Thursday to encourage people to “mask up and stay safe.”
The Bucks have been in Orlando since July 9. Their first scrimmage is set for July 23 against the San Antonio Spurs. Milwaukee’s first game is July 31 against the Boston Celtics.
