Aaron Rodgers agrees to four-year extension with Packers
Aaron Rodgers has agreed to a four-year, $134 million extension with the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers will earn more than $80 million by March, while he receivers a record $57.5 million signing bonus, according to the NFL Network.
The 34-year-old, who missed nine games last season, had two years left on his contract and was set to make a base of $19.8 million this season and $20 million next. Rodgers signed a five-year, $110 million extension signed back in 2013.
The Packers open the regular season Sept. 9 at Lambeau Field against the Chicago Bears.
Rodgers, entering season 14, is one of two active players to win multiple MVPs and one of two quarterbacks with multiple first-team All-Pro selections. That other player is Tom Brady.
Since 2008, the Packers are 94-46 and with Rodgers and 6-13-1 without him.
