
La Crosse’s Lauren Jarrett sets DIII record in 100 for UW-L
UW-La Crosse junior Lauren Jarrett set a an NCAA Division III record over the weekend, competing in California.
Friday, the La Crosse native broke the 100-meter dash record with an 11.23 finish at the Azusa Pacific University Invitational.
The old 100 record was 11.49, set in 2023 by Michelle Kwafo of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
Saturday, Jarrett broke own school record in winning the 200 with a 23.69 finish at the Long Beach State Invitational. Jarrett’s old record was 23.81, set last season.
Jarrett also holds the indoor 60 dash record (7.29), set last month, and has the second-best indoor time in the 200.
