The Polar Plunge for Special Olympics started right here in La Crosse 27 years ago! Last year alone, our community raised over $100,000 for Special Olympics Wisconsin and the athletes in our community!

Join us on March 1st at Black River Beach for the La Crosse Polar Plunge supporting the more than 1400 athletes of Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Thanks to our sponsors,  Kratt Lumber Company and Performance Foodservice, WKTY was able to donate $1,000 to support our local Special Olympics Athletes!

Do you want to support, too?

Get a plunge group together, plunge with a business or organization, plunge solo, donate, or volunteer. There are so many ways to get involved and support our local Special Olympic athletes!

Start a team, join a team, or donate HERE. Early event check ins start February 25th, and yes, you can pick a plunge song with DJ TDogg again this year. If you have funds raised and are registered by February 20, you’ll receive incentives by plunge day, otherwise they will be available after the plunge.

Parking at Black River Beach is limited, so taking a free shuttle is encouraged!
