Kuzma makes debut, as Bucks blow 21-point lead without Giannis in loss to Hawks
Kyle Kuzma made his debut Friday for the Milwaukee Bucks, who — without Giannis Antetokounmpo — blew a 21-point lead in a 115-110 loss at the Atlanta Hawks.
Kuzma scored all 12 of his points in the first half. He played 24 minutes off the bench, going 4-for-13 from the field, including 3 of 8 from the beyond the arc. He added seven rebounds, an assist and two turnovers. His plus/minus was -15.
Lillard had 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, shooting 7 of 19 from the field and 4-for-13 from deep. His plus/minus was -1 in 35 minutes, while Bobby Ports was +10. He led all scorers with 26 points, while adding 15 rebounds and six assists.
The Bucks scored 47 points and, despite hitting first 10 3-pointers in the second quarter and finishing 11 for 15 to match the franchise record for 3s in a quarter, they finished with abysmal numbers. Milwaukee shot 42.7% from the field. Aside from the second quarter 3s, they were 8 of 35 the rest of the game (22.8%).
