La Crosse’s Kotlowski, No. 1 Badgers shut down St. Thomas
La Crosse’s Katie Kotlowksi and the top-ranked University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team picked up two more wins over the weekend.
Kotlowski, who plays defense, helped lead the Badgers (24-1-1) to 6-1 and 11-1 wins at St. Thomas on Friday and Saturday.
Wisconsin’s one loss and tie have both come to No. 2 Ohio State (17-5-3).
Next up for UW, a Saturday-Sunday matchup in Madison against 11th-ranked St Cloud State (12-8-4).
Both games are sold out. The last time these teams met up, Wisconsin won 6-0, 4-0 back in early November.
Kotlowski, whose hockey roots began in La Crosse, recently talked about her career on WIZM’s La Crosse Talk PM.
