WATCH: Logan prepares for Medford in first quarterfinal game in a decade
The Logan High School football team is busy preparing this week for a quarterfinal playoff game for the first time since 2014 as they’ll travel to Medford.
The Rangers (9-2) clinched the Level 3 appearance with a dominant 42-6 win over fellow Mississippi Valley Conference rival Onalaska last Friday.
In the first playoff two wins over Waupaca and Onalaska, the Logan defense faced quality running backs in Xzaver Pittman and Cam Cornett. This week’s challenge will be their most difficult in Senior Paxton Rothmeier.
Rothmeier is leading the state in rushing with 2,440 yards and is tied for 2nd in touchdowns with 33. In last week’s 42-22 win over Fox Valley Lutheran, he totaled 305 yards and 5 touchdowns on 42 carries.
