Watch: Holmen tries to rebound from last week’s Central loss, hosts Logan Friday night
Last week’s results in the Mississippi Valley Conference created much more intrigue for the final two weeks of the high school football season.
With Holmen losing to Central 36-17, and Logan defeating Sparta 42-15, Holmen, Central, and Logan are all tied for 1st place in the conference at 4-1. The Vikings will take on the Rangers on Friday night.
Before last week’s loss, the Vikings were outscoring MVC opponents 169-27. Quarterback Alex Berget and running back Jack Barth have accounted for more than 1,200 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on the season.

Logan’s lone loss in the MVC came to Reedsburg 30-28 on September 13th. Quarterback Bradley Check has rushed for more than 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns. During last week’s win against Tomah, 4 Rangers rushed for more than 10 yards per carry.
Both teams have clinched WIAA playoff berths.
