High School Football: Holmen looks for 3rd straight win Thursday night
After a 13 point opening season loss to Medford, the Holmen Vikings have put together two solid victories over Sauk Prairie and Onalaska, and look to extend their winning streak to 3 on the road at Baraboo Thursday night.
The Vikings (2-1, 1-0) have continued to rely on their strong ground attack, the staple of the program. Three Holmen players have over 100 yards rushing on the season, led by Jack Barth at 355 yards and one touchdown, along with quarterback Alex Berget who averages 7 yards per carry and two touchdowns.
Baraboo, (0-3, 0-1) scored just 7 points in their non-conference games against Sauk Prairie and Beaver Dam, before being edged by Tomah last week 26-23. Jackson Puttkamer has racked up 164 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
