The four-game win streak for the 20th-ranked North Carolina women’s basketball team was snapped Sunday in an 81-66 loss at Virginia.

La Crosse native Lexi Donarski had a quiet game in the scoring column, with nine points on 3-for-7 shooting. She did add three assists, two rebounds and a steal — but tied a season-high with three turnovers.

Both teams combined for 33 turnovers. The Tar Heels (15-6), who had won nine of 10 heading into the matchup, shot just 42.9 percent from the field (25-for-56) and 63.2 percent from the line (6 of 16).

Over its past 10 eight games, North Carolina had beaten three ranked opponents, and lost to No. 21 Florida.

The Tar Heels next play seventh-ranked NC State on Thursday, before taking on No. 19 Virginia Tech the upcoming Sunday.
