Aquinas girls remain No. 8 in latest poll
The Aquinas High School girls basketball team remained No. 8 in the latest AP poll.
Because of the weather, the Blugolds (12-3) only played one game over the past week — beating Onalaska 60-55 on Tuesday night, which wouldn’t have factored into this week’s poll numbers.
Aquinas’ only losses this season have come to Division 3’s fifth-ranked Kettle Moraine Lutheran (11-3) and No. 4-ranked Edgewood (12-2), as well as Jordan (11-3), which is ranked fifth in Minnesota’s Class 2A.
The Blugolds, who were state runners-up last season, beat Westfield (11-3), which is ranked ninth in Division 4, and Xavier (10-5), ranked 10th in Division 3.
