La Crosse native Jordan Davis came off the bench Saturday for just the second time this season, and went scoreless for the third time in the past seven games, as the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team fell to Illinois 61-51.

It was the third consecutive loss for the Badgers (12-8) and sixth loss in their past seven games.

The first five minutes of the game consisted of a total of five points, as the two teams combined to shoot 2 of 17 from the field. They went into halftime with Illinois up 20-16.

Davis was 0-for-4 from the field. The 6-foot-4 junior had two rebounds and two turnovers in 22 minutes for Wisconsin, which shot 33.3% from the field and from deep.

Davis is two games removed from a career-high 15 points in the Northwestern loss. In his past six games, he’s scored under five points in the other five games — going 3 of 20 from the field and 2 of 12 from deep.
