
Aquinas grad. Ethan Gregg finishes 4th in National Championships, leading UW-La Crosse to 8th; UW-L women’s XC finished 15th
UW-La Crosse junior Ethan Gregg, an Aquinas High School graduate, finished fourth Saturday in the NCAA Division III men’s cross country National Championships.

Along with teammate Isaac Wegner, who took 11th, they lead the Eagles to an eighth-place team finish at the meet in Lansing, Mich.
Gregg, who took 11th in last year’s championships, and Wegner both earned All-American honors. Gregg finished the 8-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 52.8 seconds, while Wegner finished 12th (25:16.2).

This was the UW-L men’s 35th appearance in the championship, having won three titles (1996, 2001, 2005).
Meanwhile, on the women’s side, the Eagles finished 15th overall, led by Maddie Hannan, who earned All-American honors, placing 20th overall (22:29.1) on the 6-kilometer course. Like Gregg, this was her third National Championship appearance.
The UW-L women were making their 36th appearance in the meet, Their only title came in 1983 — they paced second in ’82.
