The 13th-ranked UW-La Crosse women’s soccer team is a win away from the elite eight of the NCAA Division III tournament.

The Eagles put their 18-game unbeaten streak on the line at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against unranked Virgina Wesleyan (17-2-3) from Newport News, VA.

UW-L (21-1-1) won its 14th consecutive game last weekend, beating Illinois Wesleyan (11-5-3) 1-0 — tying a school record for shutouts in a season with 17.

A win and UW-L could face one of two unbeaten teams in the quarterfinals — ninth-ranked Trinity (21-0-2) or unranked Christopher Newport (18-0-2)
