Onalaska football moves into Top 10, Aquinas remains ranked No. 2 in latest poll

The Onalaska High School football team moved into the Top 10 in the latest high school football poll, after a 34-0 win last week over Central.

The Hilltoppers (4-0), now ranked 10th in the state’s Large Division, have outscored their past three opponents 102-0.

The only team to score on Onalaska was West Salem in Week 1. The Hilltoppers won that game 14-13.

Speaking of West Salem, the Panthers are just out of the Top 10 in the Medium Division, after three consecutive blowout wins by a combined score of 128-15. That includes a 35-0 win over Arcadia last week.

In the Small Division, Aquinas remains ranked No. 2, after beating Altoona last week 57-22 to improve to 4-0. The Blugolds, who received one first-place vote, have outscored opponents 171-64.

Bangor (4-0) remains ranked ninth, after a 57-0 win over Necedah. The Cardinals have three shutouts by a combined 148-0. Only Turtle Lake, a 34-12 game, has scored on them.
