Fox Hollow golf tourney in 35th year for Children’s Miracle Network
The 35th Annual Miracle Open Golf Classic is coming to Fox Hollow Aug. 3, raising money for Children’s Miracle Network.
The 7 Rivers Region Chapter of Credit Unions puts on the event to make it possible for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals to award grants that assist children and their families.
The funds raised at the event also provide funding for pediatric medical research and education.
Jeremy Yardley, the President and CEO of Gundersen Credit Union, told Sam Strong on Classic Hits the Credit Union for Kids is the fifth largest sponsor of CMN hospitals nationwide.
It is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country, engaged in fundraising activities to benefit CMN.
Yardley said the outing has a CMN hero or a CMN hero family attend the event as well.
“Some of the local families that the funds that we raised directly impact or directly help usually come and give an inspirational story, a chance to meet them and it’s nice to see the dollars get put to work,” Yardley said.
Yardley added that there are still a few spots open to join in on the fun.
Participants can register here for the fundraiser. Registration begins at 10 a.m.. A shotgun kicks off the tournament at 11 a.m., followed by food and prizes.
