For the second time in the past three games, the Milwaukee Brewers shutout the Pittsburgh Pirates in blowout fashion.

The sources of the 12-0 win, however, not quite who you’d think.

Milwaukee now heads to Atlanta for a three-game weekend series against the Braves.
Pregame Friday on WKTY begins at 5:45 p.m. on 96.7 FM / 580 AM.

Manny Pina, batting eighth, was one of four Brewers to have three hits. The catcher was 3-for-5 with five RBI, including two home runs. He also scored twice.

His home run broke things open in a five-run sixth, after the Brewers were up just 1-0.

Batting cleanup, Rowdy Tellez was 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI, while Tyrone Taylor was 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI in the five spot for the Brewers.

Rounding out the three-hit efforts for Milwaukee was Willy Adames.

Lorenzo Cain only had one hit, but he did finish with three RBI and three runs scored.

Freddy Peralta improved to 8-3 with a six-inning shutout. He gave up two hits and a walk, while striking out five. The bullpen gave up just one hit thereafter.
