Caledonia’s King named AP third team all-state, after undefeated season
Two seasons after his brother won AP high school football player of the year, Noah King never lost a game.
Wednesday, the Caledonia senior was named third team all-state by the AP, after helping his team win a fifth consecutive state championship.
King took over for his brother, won back-to-back state championships and continued a winning streak that’s now lasted five seasons and a nation’s best 67 games.
In the 26-0 win over Minneapolis North for the Class 2A state championship, King was 9 of 18 for 138 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed 10 times for 82 years.
Named first team all-state was Winona Senior High defensive lineman Aaron Witt. Teammate and offensive lineman Ethan Prodzinski was named to the third team.
