Badgers beat UW-La Crosse ahead of season-opener Tuesday vs. No. 20 SMU
In case you missed it, over the weekend, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men’s basketball team made a little road trip to Madison.
The Wisconsin Badgers hosted the Eagles in a preseason exhibition at the Kohl Center.
Former Central High School standout, Kobe King, started and had 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting to go with five assists in leading the Badgers to an 82-53 win.
Ethan Anderson scored 12 and Zac Haese had 10 points to lead the Eagles, who were down 43-22 at halftime.
Forward Nate Reuvers led all scorers with 15 points and added four of the Badgers’ 10 blocks. Tyler Wahl had five blocks for Wisconsin in 16 minutes.
The Badgers shot 52 percent from the field. The Eagles shot just 29 percent.
UW-L’s regular season gets underway next week Tuesday at Bethel University.
The Badgers season begins at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Sioux Falls, S.D., against 20th-ranked Saint Mary’s.
